About
There used to be a time when I would go into great detail about who I thought I was and to some extent, who I wanted to be. Thankfully this is no longer the case and I feel like this is the best decision for the life I have and to be the person I am. The past is only relevant to my past decisions and hope that by providing this window into my life, one may have some connection to me in one sense or another. I am not searching for approval or any kind of outside understanding but am providing a window into my life in a public format and invite you to share your comments, suggestions, or questions. I feel at my current age I have nothing to hide but I do enjoy my privacy therefore some of my posts be password protected and only available to friends and family members. (In cases when private or personal information is included.)
My name is Candace Elizabeth Danylewich and I live in Hemnesberget, Norway, with my husband Ørjan and our two wonderful children – Magnus and Sophie, and our wonderfully big-boned tuxedo cat, Kitty. I’m a Canadian that grew up for twenty years in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. After a couple of years of flying back and forth between Canada and Norway I finally made the move to live in Norway after we married in 2005. I speak English, French, Norwegian, and German fluently, and there are a couple of other languages that I’ve learned but haven’t used in a while. I love baking, cooking, travel, photography, and rearranging and decorating our new home. Feel free to visit my flickr account to take a peek at my/our daily lives.
This site will no longer be housing the previous content that was once available due to lack of time and interest. Instead I will continue to update my blog as often as possible about my daily life and things I find of interest. I write for myself but also realize there is a small list of readers that are made of family, friends, and acquaintances and will refrain from posting anything too personal and/or offensive. There isn’t much more I can say but if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me.
